My mother and father both lived and graduated high school in different countries so they had an appreciation of how big and how small the world was. While I didn’t live overseas as a kid I do remember our cross country camping road trips and how big the country was to me.
As I got older we ventured into Canada and the Caribbean to canoe, camp and scuba dive as a family. I got to hear stories from my parents and Grandparents about their adventures. This made me want to travel and experience more.
Once I was old enough to drive I started to venture out to Colorado to backpack and camp. This continued through college and gave me a taste of the US. After I graduated college I didn’t know if I should travel or get a job. When I asked my parents for advice they said I would be silly to not travel. And so it began, my backpack loaded I headed out for my first real adventure.
